David Collette is the oldest of nine children, seven boys and two girls. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Brigham Young University where he met his wife, Catherine. He attended Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine where he obtained his DMD degree in May 2008.
Upon graduation he was awarded the prestigious Callahan Prize. He remained at Case Western to complete medical school, obtaining his MD degree in 2011. He also completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training in Cleveland with rotations at University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic as well as the Louis Stokes VA.
